PREPARE FOR THE RETURN TO SCHOOL WITH 'MENTALLY HEALTHY SCHOOLS'
Although some children have returned to school already, for some, the new autumn term will be their first time stepping into a classroom since lockdown began. Understandably, this may be a strange or worrying time for some children, parents and carers. 'Mentally Healthy Schools' has produced a new toolkit to assist school's and families in making sure the return to classrooms in the autumn is a mentally healthy one.

HOME SCHOOLING & REMOTE LEARNING
Pupils' log-in details for GOOGLE CLASSROOMS, PURPLE MASH & TT ROCK STARS have been allocated to pupils.
Please see the latest updates letter here (below) should your child need to isolate due to the Covid-19 restrictions. A Copy will be sent to parents with reminders of log in details for your child/children.

In addition to Ashurst CE Primary School's information & home learning packs the DfE wishes to support parents and all educational settings to ensure children and young people’s education can continue.
Available support includes:
- a list of online educational resources which have been identified by some of the country’s leading educational experts to help pupils to learn at home
- the BBC enhancing its education provision to include daily lessons, see the link below for BBC BITESIZE (Link available on the Pupil Area too)
- Launch of the Oak National Academy Online Classroom and Resource Hub - see the link below
For parents with children under 5 years old, who have not yet started school, the Department for Education (DfE)’s Hungry Little Minds campaign features tips and practical activities that you can do at home with children to support their early learning.
There are many simple ways to help your children learn and it does not have to feel like ‘learning’. Having everyday conversations, make-believe play, and reading together, all make a big difference to your child’s development.
